I live and write on the edge of the sprawling Lake Smith in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I have had several jobs in my life, careers some, but none of them define me the way writer does.
Most ordinary days are not ordinary at all but filled with the sounds and images of poetry and prose as they drift on a breeze or birdsong. I am seldom bored and almost never nap.
Often my poetry draws on themes of loss revealing the enlightenment of suffering through images of life and nature. Sometimes it is the exploration of self or a word melody that won't leave me alone. No matter. I only hope that it also sings to you.
In my novels I have tried to explore what we want in life and in relationships. More specifically how we resolve what seems to conflict with our preception of life, how we delineate things.
Please send me an email. I'd love to hear your reaction to what you have read or tell me about what you are creating.
